Upcoming Challenges

This year I've decided to pick a few challenges to try to participate in this year. I wanted to give everyone a heads-up on upcoming posts about these challenges. I'm sorry there's no IMM today (I didn't have time to check the mail) but you'll definitely see one next week.
The Dusty Bookshelf Challenge asks participants to try to read some of the many unread books on their bookshelves that have been waiting to be read for a while. I'm super excited about this challenge. I'm participating at the Cobwebs level to try and read a few of the following and several unnamed novels:
1. Peter Pan
2.The Hobbit
3. Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince
4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
5. The Lord of the Rings
6. The Princess Bride
7. Son of a Witch
8. Paper Towns (by John Green)
9. An abundance of Katherines (by John Green)
10. The Giver
My Goodreads TBR list is massive and I can't wait to tackle it!
The goal of this challenge is to read 12 or more 2012 debut author's novels. I'm also really excited about this one and the opportunity to find and discover new author's work. If you have any suggestions, leave them below!

Are you participating in any reading challenges this year? :)

  1. Hope you love The Princess Bride as much as I do! The style can be weird but once you get used to it (and stick with it) the story is lovely.

I don't do too many challenges but I decided to host my own (Roald Dahl) this year!

  2. What a great challenge! It looks like you have some fabulous books to read. I loved the last two HP books- and hope you will too. You can also listen to them on audio if you are pressed for time- they are amazing in that format (the reader, Jim Dale, is out of htis world). Also- I enjoyed The Giver (it is really fast if you want to cross something off your list)! Good luck!

  3. That sounds great Alison! I'm really excited about The Princess Bride.

I'm glad I'll finally have a set reason to tackle this books, Fairday. I loved all of the Harry Potter books I have read as well as Gathering Blue (the second in the Giver series) so I'll definitely get to them both as soon as possible. (I've finally convinced myself to not buy anymore books until I finish the ones I have).:P
